Hello Dr. Schmidt,

You are an inspiration to me. I have read your book Disciplined Minds.

Recently I purchased seven paperback copies of your book for distribution among my friends. Whenever someone comes to me for advice about doing a PhD, I always tell them to read your book first and then decide for themselves.

I am in the process of being denied tenure. In the process I am getting a ringside view of the hypocrisy that rules the academic world. I have started reading your book the second time for solace and comfort.
